Love the Owner, Danny and his food is excellent with great prices. Waitresses are super pleasant and large portions. Not a fancy atmosphere but homey good wholesome food.

Great Friday night FISH FRY!!! Anything u order is great. Been going there for 46 years. The owner, DANNY, is a gentleman and is always there to seat u and later ask how your dinner was. Very friendly. If it's not on the menu they will make it if they have all the ingredients!!!! U CANNOT BEAT THAT!!!!

Been eating here and friends with Dan, Hellen, Pauly, and Bonnie, and the whole gang for 29 years this year, my family has been for over 50, always will be the best place to get spaghetti or bohemian roast duck!

First time back here in years and the menu is still the same as when I grew up. Our family has been coming here since it opened in the late 1950's. Definitely a time warp!

Great old time place, good food very reasonably priced

This place is awesome!! It's a throwback to the 60's and 70's when you walk in. The food is fantastic as is the atmosphere. We live out here from NY 12 years and passed by this place lots and never stopped. So we popped in out of curiosity and also from word of mouth that it's just that good and what we heard is correct...It's that good and more than reasonable prices for their food. This place is addicting. We been there 3x in the last 2 weeks and will probably be there again tonight. If you never been here before you're in for a great experience. I hardly ever write reviews but I just had too after being here. We found a new place to eat and we will be back again and again.

Good food but with some snafus. First, Google and their menu say the kitchen is open till 10 but it's really 9. Also, cash only with no warning so something to keep in mind. But the food was classic if not inventive and cooked well. A solid choice.

We had a very reasonably price, yet very delicious dinner. The duck was superb, and the ribeye was cooked perfectly Great portion sizes too. Our waitress was also experienced, and gave us plenty of time to enjoy our dinner,plus she had a great sense of humor. The owner was gracious and truly passionate about his longstanding restaurant.

Great cocktails expertly crafted, classic music great vibes and the food was spectacular. Try the prime rib and any drink, the bartender (I think his name was John) can make anything you order. Will be returning.

The fish fry was gray and mushy in the middle. Couldn't stand to beat more than one small piece. Good Brandy old-fashioned.

ALWAYS good food at a crazy-low price! Reminiscent of an old WI supper club.

Place smelled really bad, like burnt cheese, waitress was not too kind, and the fish fry was not good at all. Fish was soggy and over cooked.

The food is above average and daily specials are pushed. This place has not changed in over 40 years and maybe more. The prices are good and reasonable for the quality. The prime rib special is $19.95 but the meat was a little chewy and not tender as is typical. Lots of people had ordered the duck which was surprising as I have not seen this on a menu with the exception in Wisconsin supper clubs.It's worth a try.Everytime I come back I fall more and more in love

This restaurant takes NO credit or debit cards. CASH only. We were informed of this as we were presented our bill. No signs with their policy anywhere. Food was average, but service was good.

Great place. Good cocktails, excellent food, fair prices.Staff was great. Very Very nice, even on a buzy Friday night. I'll be back. Only negative is that I live in Des Plaines and the Villa is in Fox River Grove. Also they only take cash which is no worries for most of us, but no worries for you millennials, they have an ATM. Go there soon.

The only reason I’m giving 3 stars is because Fox River Grove is my home town. That said nothing here is fresh, even the salad comes out from the kitchen looking like it was under a heat lamp. Yes they have some decent specials and yes I pride myself on supporting local businesses but the only thing positive about the Villa Bleu is they pour a stiff cocktail which is needed to wash down their food.

Villa Bleu is a 'throw-back' experience of the 40's and 50's when tavern - restaurants populated the area and before the chains entered the scene. It is largely an older and regular crowd but having said, no one is an outsider or stranger at the Bleu. Generous food portions of basic food choices. Great bar area. Danny the owner is always very visible and makes sure all is well in his restaurant. He has owned and run it for many years.

Awesome Wisco supper-club feel. Great portions, great prices. “Cash only” makes it feel real; like the way dining used to be. Best place to go for mom’s cooking when mom doesn’t feel like actually cooking.
